a short list
{A short list}follow link for the cutest little list on one of my favorite ever blogs. i'm pretty short (5'2"), so i can relate to...like all of those. :) who else can relate? who else likes it? i kind of do.
what i wore: yellow and red
That's my sister there next to me.
Isn't she pretty?
Shirt: TJ Maxx ~ Scarf: Old ~ Pants: Downeast Outfitters ~ Boots: American Eagle ~ Earrings: Walmart
we have this pretty field behind our house that's just PERFECT for pictures. so i decided, why not show off those beauties in one big beautiful outfit post?! a word of advice: don't be afraid to mix bold colors together. especially if the season calls for it! christmas time? wear some red and green! spring? go for the yellows, pinks and blues. fall? of course wear some yellow and red! and definitely throw in some brown boots :)

delicious spiced pumpkin nut bread
this is one of the best breads i have ever tasted! it's a perfect flavor for fall (pumpkin and nuts), and it's great served fresh out of the oven or the next day. we baked a few loaves for a party here, and there was quite a bit of extra--which is great for me! i hope you make it and enjoy it, because it really is amazing!
spiced pumpkin nut bread:
4 cups flour (try whole wheat flour!)
1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice (see below to make your own)

2 cups packed brown sugar
1 cup apple juice
4 eggs
¼ cup vegetable (or canola) oil
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup chopped nuts, divided

an excellent library
“i declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading! how much sooner
one tires of any thing than of a book! -- when I have a house of my
own, i shall be miserable if i have not an excellent library.”(pride and prejudice)

i would rather sit on a pumpkin

fall fashion
links:
i love fall. i love it so much, i think i look forward to it all year. at least, that's what i did this year. i love the smells, i love the colors, i love the tastes, i love the chill in the air --even the cold wind biting at my nose--and i just LOVE the fashion. this is the time that brings back boots, scarves, sweaters, leg warmers and mittens. it gets me so excited to dig out all my lovely cold clothes so i can wear them again--they bring a feeling of happiness and a chill.
